I have had a long time interest in art, since I taught myself to grid and draw pictures  in the first grade. I was the art editor of my high school yearbook for three years and started college, aiming to be an art teacher; but I married and pretty much put my art interests on hold.About 12 years ago, I started doing watercolors and fell I in love with the medium and its unique qualities and never-ending source of surprises. Watercolors blend together in ways no other medium can and lend themselves to all sorts of experimenting. What fun!I have visited many of the great art museums around the world and taken college courses in art. I have attended many workshops from national and international artists. I am a signature artist in the St. Louis Watercolor Society, a member of the Missouri Art Association, and a member of Northside Art Association and editor of its monthly newsletter. My work has been exhibited in several galleries, community centers, commercial venues and other sites around St. Louis and on Missouri Art Watercolor webpage. Many of my paintings hang in the Northside Art Gallery in Clayton. My paintings are all watercolor, some with other media mixed in. They are bright and cheerful and make me feel good to paint them. I hope they make viewers feel good to look at them.
